Becoming an ADI (aproved driving instructor) is possibly one of the toughest chalanges a driver will ever face.

The route consists of three tests Theory Practical Driving and Ability to Instruct

The drop of rate is high and an extremely high rate of those who apply for the first test do not make it through to the end

One of the main reasons for this is that it appears to look easy especially when you look at the advertising promoting instructor training

The first two tests are fairly straightforward Part I / II , its the third test Part III whch is the most challenging with a fail rate of 72%

The pass rates for each of the three parts of the examination in 2006/2007 were:

Theory test (part 1):                            49%

Test of driving ability (part 2):             45%

Test of instructional ability (part 3):     28%
